Deirdre McCarney
Head Nurse
Dee originally hails from county Tyrone in Northern Ireland but has made her home in Perth for the past 7 years.
She joined our team in 2016 and took a year's break to try FiFo work. We are very pleased she has chosen to return to us as our head nurse here at the Ark in 2018, where we enjoy her bubbly personality. Dee has over 20 years of Veterinary Nursing experience. Her love, compassion and enthusiasm for animals and the Ark makes her a great nurse and a wonderful fit to our family.
Dee is one of our puppy pre school trainers and has a love for Golden Retrievers!

Kiki
Clinic Cat
Kiki is our resident cat. She is 7 years old and has grown up in our clinic since she was handed in by one of our lovely clients who had found her with a broken leg as a very young kitten. She is very much in charge of supervising the goings on and making sure our staff and patients are given enough love and attention. You may see her on the front desk to welcome you and she will often greet cats coming for a visit in their carriers.
She also spends much of her day lazing about in the sunshine, looking out at the garden.
She often wears a 'bucket' or elizabethan collar, as she has allergies which caused a wound on her leg which she refuses to leave alone. She is under the care of our vets as well as the Dermatology Specialists at WAVES.
